Digitalization of Health Care without compromising Privacy

Introduction

With the ongoing pandemic situation and the remote support of Health Care Professionals, there is a huge need of digitalization of health care records without compromising the privacy of the data of the patients. Zoho Creator helps in achieving this with much ease and ensure the accessing can be from anywhere through any device.

Use Case

Let us take a simple use case here.

Let us say you have a Clinic where Patients visit on a periodical basis to check their sugar level and Blood Pressure level so that they will be given medical prescriptions according to their current and the past conditions.

• First the Historical data of the patient has to be stored in a proper file/order according to the past date of visits and the results of any relevant tests taken on those days.
• Any on duty Doctor/GP with valid credentials can access the past data of the patient and provide advice/treatment accordingly.

Solution

As a first step, the registration of the patient is done to store the data required. Upon successful registration, the patient details will be stored in the database. A unique QR Code is generated and embedded for each patient in the record/file .

Every time the patient visits the clinic/requires assistance for remote support from a Doctor, the test results can be tagged to the patient's unique ID.

Any Doctor who attends the patient needs to review the patients' history in order for him to prescribe accordingly.

To ensure the data privacy of the patient, the application must have a functionality to allow the Doctor to scan the QR Code of the patient. This in turn will show all the historical records of the relevant patient to the Doctor's view.

The privacy is ensured for the Doctor since the patient's records are available only through Zoho Creator Application where the Doctor has access. Any outsider scans the QR Code will not yield any results/show some numbers of unknown information.
