Introduction

Zoho Creator and Zoho Inventory are two different products but when they are used together, they have the capability of running an industry in a more organized and efficient way as possible.

Use Case

For this specific blog, we take the online tailoring app as a use case.

This business has two separate processes in the back end.

  • First, all the required raw materials are purchased into an inventory and stored.
  • Second, the raw materials are used in the production for making a product.

Let us say that you have an app that lets the customer choose the product, design and material before placing an order. The booked order is notified to you via SMS or Push Notifications. Now the back-end process starts at the inventory side where the raw materials are collected.

Further, the raw materials are collected from the inventory and pushed to the application. The application now collects the data and creates a job card for that particular ordered product.

After this, the supervisor will be able to assign this job to a worker in the production line. The assigned worker works on the product based on the job card details provided. Upon completion, the worker marks the work as COMPLETED in the job card. This gets notified to the field manager who takes care of shipping the product to the customer.

Solution

This whole process from the customer order to the production and then delivery to the customer can be done by using a simple integration of two products.

  1. Zoho Inventory takes care of all the materials that are stored in the inventory.
  2. Zoho Creator can take care of the front end of the app interaction with the customer as well as the workflow of the production line in the back end of the application.

By combining/integrating these two products together, you will be able to build a product that can take care of the business in an efficient and productive way.

The data can also be organized and maintained securely.

Conclusion

Though both the products can be used separately to do the processes, using them both together will give you very organized and more efficient applications that can handle heavy work-loads in a transparent manner.
